Thank you.
When I published How I Built a Writing Job Directory That Pays Writers What They’re Worth on my personal newsletter, I had no idea how far it would travel. Every like, comment, and restack reminds me that the heart I pour into remotewritingjobs.org touches other writers in ways I’m still discovering.
It hasn’t always been easy. Some onlookers still question why the directory is paywalled or the minimalist way I format listings. The scrutiny messes with me sometimes but I refuse to let anyone undervalue what I’ve built or undermine the choices that make it different. Building something for others demands courage, focus that can stretch human limits, and a stubborn commitment to the writing community even when “community over competition” feels more like aspiration than reality.
If it resonated with you and you’d like to help more writers see it, restacking it is a simple way to share it with others who might need it.
And if you haven’t joined RWJ yet, becoming a paid subscriber is another way to support this work and ensure writers continue to have access to fair, transparently paid opportunities.
With deep gratitude,
-Melissa
